The Lover

I love you: a little, a lot, passionately, madly... not at all. Each flower in the 5-petal crown that the young girl wears reminds us that Love simply cannot be measured. We like it or we don’t like it, that’s all. And if the Lover is afraid of making the wrong choice, it’s because he doesn’t love himself. At least not yet... Between the tempting mirages of luxury and the illusory promises of youth, the Lover is invited to learn the present moment in the Epicurean sense: “carpe diem!” » Her initiatory path is that of the education of emotions and beauty. And its path is that of the senses... and the sensations they provide: “your body is intelligent, listen to it”. In other words, if the stomach and the heart have neurons, they extend intelligence beyond what we call the brain. And so, when you get out of your head, the butterflies in your stomach and the wings in your heart tell you what to do and where to go... - According to "The Fortune Teller", Georges de La Tour (1593 - 1652)

The Lover is the card of confusion par excellence. A frequent interpretation associates this card with romanticism, the prediction of an imminent romantic relationship or the confirmation of the feelings of the chosen one of our heart. Several tarot cards also offer an alternative: “The Lovers”. We typically see a man and a woman in an orchard, naked or clothed, hand in hand, embracing or without physical contact. Our beliefs or intentions can lead us to prefer one model over another. Yet the fundamental message of this card is universal. The Lover invites us to escape from doubt and confusion and find our answer to the question: “Who to choose?” As long as we ask ourselves this question, we will not move forward. To choose is to give up, the proverb tells us. Choosing begins with yourself, answers the Lover. So the only worthwhile choice is that of our heart and doesn't our heart have all its reason!? His clue: "Cupid's arrow only has one direction..."
