The Lover is the card of confusion par excellence. A frequent interpretation associates this card with romanticism, the prediction of an imminent romantic relationship or the confirmation of the feelings of the chosen one of our heart. Several tarot cards also offer an alternative: “The Lovers”. We typically see a man and a woman in an orchard, naked or clothed, hand in hand, embracing or without physical contact. Our beliefs or intentions can lead us to prefer one model over another. Yet the fundamental message of this card is universal.
